Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 19. The youth will be hosting a dinner and dessert auction from 6 pm to 8 pm in the FLC. You won't want to miss the fun! All proceeds go to Youth Missions.

Rev. John Peel is leading a denominational missional effort in the Lake Cities area this summer. A number of United Methodist youth from across Texas will gather at our church during the month of June to conduct minor house repairs.

If you or someone you know needs minor work (ramps, paint, flooring, etc.) around the home, please contact Pastor Rene’ and he will submit your name for consideration as a United Methodist youth project.

Projects will be determined by size of work, skill level, volunteer availability and urgency of need. More information will be coming in the near future.

Prayers are called upon to be with the mission team from the church who will be traveling to Baldwin, Louisiana this week. Each year the church’s mission group sends an adult team of volunteers to work at the UMCOR depot and local community.

Children's Sunday School classes are collecting supplies to put together health kits for UMCOR. We are in special need of nail clippers, combs, hand towels and toothbrushes. If you would like to donate any of these items, please bring them to the church no later than February 23.

Lake Cities United Methodist Church and Footprints Preschool are again supporting the Spirit of Christmas.

An Angel Tree is located in the Welcome Center.

Please take an angel or two or more and fulfill a child’s wish!

The new, unwrapped gifts need to be returned to the church by the deadline on printed on the angel.

Mark your calendars now for the Lake Cities Youth Dinner and Dessert Auction on Sunday, May 6th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Your Youth Group is raising money towards their summer trips to do home repair in South Dallas, tornado relief in Kentucky, and to attend Summer Camp at Bridgeport.
