May 18, 2017

UMW Spring FlowersDonations Needed to Support Children’s Advocacy

February 2017 through December 2017

UMW has chosen to “adopt” Children’s Advocacy of Denton County for a service project for 2017 and is asking the church to participate. Children’s Advocacy provides counseling and other services to Denton County children (and their families) who have been sexually or otherwise physically abused.

From now through April, UMW will be collecting hygiene and health items such as:

  • Baby wipes
  • Lotions
  • Powder
  • Body wash
  • Shampoo
  • Band-Aids
  • Feminine products
  • Wet wipes
  • Lice kits
  • Toothpaste
  • Bar soap
  • Body wash
  • Deodorant (men’s & women’s)
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner

For your convenience, slips of paper for these items will be available in the hallway on or near the UMW bulletin board for you to tear off as a reminder. Boxes will be available for your donations beginning Sunday, February 12, 2017. Only new, unopened items can be accepted.

Another list of items will be collected May through August, and yet another for September through December.

Thank you in advance for your participation!

1 John 4:16

So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
