VBS is June 19-23, 2017

VBS registration is coming up. You may sign up beginning Monday, May 1, 2017!Our VBS theme this year is Hero Central: Discover Your Strength in God. Kids will go on awesome adventures alongside some of their favorite Bible heroes and discover the qualities that make us truly heroic in God. We'll have epic music, spectacular science, crafty crafts, heroic recreation, and fantastic Bible stories to help kids (and leaders) discover their strength in God!VBS will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon on June 19-23, 2017.All children Pre-K through 5th grade are welcome! Appointment Changes 2017 Announced

New Appointments Katie Klein Bishop Mike McKee has appointed Katie Klein to serve as a quarter-time Local Pastor to Lake Cities UMC beginning on July 1, 2017. She will serve as the church’s associate pastor. Katie resides in Denton, is married, and has two sons. One son is in high school while the other serves in the military. Misfits Class Begins New Study: May 14, 2017

The Misfits Sunday School Class begins a new study on Sunday, May 14, 2017. We will study Rob Fuquay’s book and DVD, “Take the Flag: Following God’s Signals in the Race of Your Life.” Fuquay’s book was inspired by the flags that are used both in JASCAR and Indy Car races. UMW 2017 Mission Project: Children’s Advocacy of Denton County

Donations Needed to Support Children’s Advocacy February 2017 through December 2017 UMW has chosen to “adopt” Children’s Advocacy of Denton County for a service project for 2017 and is asking the church to participate. Children’s Advocacy provides counseling and other services to Denton County children (and their families) who have been sexually or otherwise physically abused.
