Why ReEngage?

The Trustees of Lake Cities United Methodist Church chose “ReEngage” because it is our desire to re-engage with our mission as a church committed to serving and transforming its community. The campaign will focus on addressing the needs of our facility that we believe are necessary for our work. ReEngage will take place in 3 phases: Family Life Center, Worship and Beyond!

1st phase of ReEngage:

The first phase of our ReEngage campaign is to bring our Family Life Center back to a state where ministries of the church and our community can utilize the building to its fullest potential. The FLC is one of our greatest community assets, yet it is in desperate need of attention. Currently the list of projects in the FLC include:

  • Repair the foundation

  • Resealing the building

  • Replacing the steel doors

  • New Flooring

  • New Lighting

  • And more!

2nd Phase: Worship

The second phase of ReEngage is to improve our worship setting for Sunday Mornings here at Lake Cities. Our worship setting has evolved in the last couple of years to include a virtual element and our worship technology needs to meet the needs of that change. As we continue with in-person and online worship we want every aspect of worship to feel inviting and welcoming to all that come. A few of the projects that we have planned for the second phase include:

  • A new digital sound board

  • Resurfacing the South Parking Lot

  • Improved sound and video for Worship

3rd Phase: Beyond!

In the final phase of ReEngage we will covering projects that have yet to be determined! This is the phase where our visioning and planning for the future of Lake Cities take place. We don’t fully know what these projects yet are because we want to see where God has led us and want needs to happen to continue in our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Some of the projects we envision include:

  • improved campus security

  • improvements to Education Wing and Fellowship Hall

  • church transportation improvements
